    Job Description
    TITLE Bookkeeper
    LOCATION Grand Rapids, Michigan
    STATUS Full-time
    TRAVEL Limited local travel within normal business hours

    As a key member of our West Michigan Hispanic community, the position assumes a strategic role in providing a variety of bookkeeping services to the organizations within our community. The primary day-to-day responsibilities involve providing accounting support to businesses located in the West Michigan area. This will include a keen ability to meet deadlines, be proactive and provide consistent communication to clients and team members.

    • Associates degree in business or accounting
    • Minimum 2 years relevant accounting experience
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English
    • Work with various business owners to help them develop and maintain sound accounting records
    • Bookkeeping and data entry
    • Payroll processing which includes payroll tax reporting and sales tax reporting
    • Accounts reconciliation oversight
    • Tying out general ledgers and balance sheet accounts
    • Financial statement preparation
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.)
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Ability to adapt to multiple businesses/industries
    • Must be able to manage client relationships and workload
    • Ability to handle stress and deadlines
    • Willing to learn and ask questions if needed
    • Contributes positively to the spirit of our Latinx community
    • This is a Grant Funded Position
    • Job Type/Salary: $40,000
