    As a Foster Care Case Manager you will provide intensive, short-term case management and reunification services to Unaccompanied Children, primarily from Central America, ages 0-17.

    1. Coordinate short term case management services for client's educational, therapeutic, medical and legal needs.
    2. Meet weekly with supervisor to consult on cases, to review case plan and direction and to evaluate client participation and progress.
    3. Meet regularly with unit therapist to discuss resident’s assessment and treatment.
    4. Present social history of new residents at staff meeting following admission. Review youth's journey into the United States, any exploitation and/or trafficking concerns, family history, psychological history, school history, and identify any issues or behaviors that would warrant attention in treatment.
    5. Be knowledgeable on DHS and UAC policy and procedure in terms of intake procedures, reporting procedures and reunification procedures.
    6. Meet weekly (or more) with the youth to ensure safety of youth and progress towards goals.
    7. Provide timely reunification services to potential sponsors.
    8. Be available to transport youth if needed to identified sponsors.
    9. Be available to interpret for clientele from Spanish to English as needed.
    10. Provide transportation for clients as needed.
    11. Maintain accurate, up-to-date information on foster children in care while meeting DHS, ORR, and Bethany's documentation and reporting requirements.
    12. Perform other duties as assigned.



    1. BSW or BA/BS in human service field.
    2. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
    3. Demonstrate excellent clinical, therapeutic and crisis intervention skills.
    4. Eligible to obtain professional licensure or registration.
    5. Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
    6. Maintain a reliable automobile with adequate insurance coverage.
    7. Knowledge of state, community and agency resources.
    8. Prior work experience with refugee or minority families and demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity.
    9. Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement and Cultural Diversity Commitment.
