YWCA West Central Michigan currently has the following positions available:
Supervised Visitation/Exchange Monitors
Are you a stay-at-home parent, student working on a Master’s degree, or retiree with a degree? Seeking Supervised Visitation/Exchange Monitors for permanent, part-time shifts. Individuals must be punctual, adhere to an ethical code of conduct, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, able to set and maintain boundaries, capable of de-escalating agitated individuals, organized and detail oriented.
Under the supervision of the Program Manager of Safe Connections, Monitors are responsible for supervising parenting time and exchanges of children in court ordered cases of domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, child abuse, and or child sexual abuse. Individuals will document behaviors, interaction, activities, etc. of the visit and complete a visitation report.
Candidates must have the following minimum requirements:
Valid MI Driver’s license
Access to reliable transportation
First Aid/CPR certificates (or obtain certification within 30 days of hire)
Experience working with diverse populations
Experience with Microsoft Office computer applications required
Additional experience in human or social services, particularly with regard to knowledge of domestic violence and child abuse is preferred
Bilingual is a plus
The shifts will be approximately 20 hours per week (between 10:30 am -8:30 pm), $13.15 per hour. This position would be a perfect second/part-time job for qualified candidates.
