• Business Development Coordinator for Absolutely Accessible Kent

    Job Description
    Disability Advocates of Kent County seeks a self-motivated professional to drive the business development efforts for its Absolutely Accessible Kent project. Absolutely Accessible Kent is working with Kent County’s design and building professionals to create universally designed spaces that exceed both ADA and Michigan Construction Code. Our members include those who are personally affected by the challenges of inaccessibility in the region. As a Project Development Coordinator, you will develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy with stakeholders, assigned staff and key volunteers.
     
    Your key objectives include:
    • Realizing the goals of the project’s annual work plan
    • Generating growing fee-for-service revenue for the organization
    • Serving as the key spokesperson of the project
    • Enhancing partner communications and overall awareness for our growing accessibility and disability awareness services
    The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in business development and will be ready to assume the leadership of existing business development efforts which are primed for growth. 
     
    It would be optimal for the project lead to have experience within the building or architectural fields.  They must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, outstanding computer skills, time management and organizational skills, and enjoy working with people. 
     
    Work hours will need to be flexible for evening and weekend activities.  Pay rate is negotiable based on experience.
