Technical Assistance Program for Small Businesses and Start ups
WMHCC partners with organizations such as MISBDC, SBA, GROW, Economic Development Office, to develop and implement programs that help Hispanic entrepreneurs successfully start and grow their businesses. In the last fiscal year the Chamber helped more than 80 entrepreneurs and small business owners through one-to-one technical assistance and business education.

    Monthly Membership Meetings
The Chamber hosts a networking event monthly. These events provide members and friends with the opportunity to expand their contact base. Many of the networking events are co-hosted by sponsors and other organizations to bring new contacts and relationships to attendees.

    Business Expo
Launched in 2003, the annual Business Expo has become the Chamber’s prime event to connect minority businesses with potential clients and organizations that support their growth. The business expo is held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center during the fall. The business expo last November attracted more than 500 attendees and 60 exhibitors.

    Annual Awards Dinner
The Annual Gala is the Chamber’s most important fundraising initiative. It serves as an opportunity for the Chamber to highlight the importance and influence of the Hispanic business community in the West Michigan area and to celebrate the Chamber’s accomplishments with its members, sponsors, partner organizations, corporations, and the community at large.

    El Torneo
Every year, the event attracts a wide variety of Latino and non-Latino business owners and leaders from West Michigan.  El Torneo, is a great opportunity to treat your employees, preferred customers and or/clients to a morning of fun while increasing your business network and connecting to the business community.

    Quarterly Networking Events
The Chamber hosts a networking event quarterly. These events provide members and friends with the opportunity to expand their contact base. Many of the networking events are co-hosted by sponsors and other organizations to bring new contacts and relationships to attendees.

    Monthly Bilingual Educational Seminars
Each month, the Chamber hosts educational and informational sessions with interpretation in Spanish. Sponsors and members share their expertise in relevant topics in an effort to further educate small business owners.

    Annual ERG Summit
The WMHCC brings together ERGs to share best practices and provide compelling results on the value in corporate America. Employee resource groups as a whole play a crucial role in ensuring corporations are improving diversity recruitment and retention, diversity in management, talent development, and reaching a wider range of consumer segments.

    Annual Supplier Diversity Summit
The goal of the event is to promote supplier diversity as a business strategy and tool among the regional business community. The event enhances awareness, builds business relationships, and educates internal and external stakeholders on the benefits and value of supplier diversity. The Summit offers the opportunity to bring together diverse businesses with the appropriate end-user that are responsible for sourcing/purchasing the goods and services offered by the diverse supplier community.
